The Bianconeri Name Former Italian National Team Boss Spalletti

Juventus have appointed previous Azzurri head coach Luciano Spalletti to take the helm for the remainder of the campaign.

The experienced coach takes over from his predecessor, who was dismissed following the loss to Lazio last weekend.

The former boss came on board in March to replace Thiago Motta but left after seven months following a string of eight matches without a victory.

Under Spalletti, Napoli clinched the Serie A championship in 2022-23 then moving on to lead the Italian national team, which missed out on the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.

He secured their spot in Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.

However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, putting Italy in danger of missing a third straight World Cup.

He has previously coached Inter Milan, Roma, and Udinese in Italy's top flight and secured two Russian Premier League titles with Zenit St Petersburg.

Massimo Brambilla took interim charge of Juventus in the midweek 3-1 triumph over Udinese placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - six points behind leaders Napoli after nine games.

In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, having lost once and drawn twice in their opening three matches.
